The primary purpose of For Haiti, with Love, Inc. is to make life better for the poorest of the poor - now, and to help them help themselves. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Things have only gotten bad with a major food shortage. There are no jobs and the international community is withholding aid. Haiti's poor need jobs, they need food, education, homes and above all, they need hope.By providing food and free medical care for burns and other emergencies the people are back able to provide for themselves, with funding for cottage business start-ups, we help make that possible. FHL provides funds for basic education of reading, writing and math through tuitions; cover personal emergencies like funerals, x-rays, special medications to give dignity. Provide clothing and shoes, proper home (when funding permits) all to add self- respect and feeling of independence.
