International Children's Aid Foundation (ICAF) is an all-volunteer foundation with no paid staff or overhead expenses. We are Christian inspired and provide assistance to orphaned children in Romania. Some of our programs are unique to ICAF: the bright beginnings early childhood development program and the Bright Futures vocational training program, for example. Both are making incredible improvements in the academic, social, and self-esteem of children who otherwise have little hope. Our short-term mission teams travel to Romania on trips lasting from one to 10 weeks and work with the children, teaching, playing, holding VBS, evangelizing, building, and running our free medical clinics in areas which have no other medical access. We also collect and ship over $200,000 worth of donated medical equipment and medications to Romania each year at no cost (for acquisition or shipping)to our organization. ICAF also supports private Christian orphanages in three cities in Romania.
