Hope Extended Ministries, Inc. goes to Third World countries and trains pastors and church leaders in the basics of HIV/AIDS in their 2-day PROJECT: A Haven of Hope Seminar using curriculum developed by Betty Rushford. We enlist their help in the fight against AIDS and motivate them to teach abstinence in their churches. It is imperative to engage every phase of society, including the religious community, in the fight against this disease in order to arrest the spread of it. While in each location, we hold a 2-day free medical clinic for the community which earns us their respect and good response to our mission. We have built a permanent medical clinic in Siaya, Kenya to treat the common illnesses in that area. We currently treat 2,000 patients a month of which 3 out 5 are children.
